LICC

40 Faces,
40 Places

To mark LICC’s 40th anniversary, I was commissioned to design a 90-page devotional guide that takes readers on a journey around the UK, documenting the real-life stories of LICC supporters. The content for the guide was crowdsourced, which meant a varying level of quality in imagery to draw from. In addition, the design needed to roughly tie into the style of the 40 Cities speaking tour that was taking place at the time which used explosive colour splashes.

Names, Faces and Places

To give each entry a unique feel, I hand-lettered the contributors’ names and created a layout system that highlights both the ‘face’ and the ‘place.’ The orange and red gradients were painted to complement the speaking tour, with circles serving as a visual reference to LICC’s main brand. The cover unifies these stories featuring all 40 contributors to the guide.
